Robber's Roost Stage Station Cheyenne to Deadwood Stage Route |

Three miles north of Mule Creek Junction was a stage station called Robbers' Roost. Outlaws took advantage of the steep grades in the nearby Cheyenne River crossing to stop stagecoaches and collect any riches that happened to be on board. A marker locates the site on US Hwy 85. |
