The southern corridor covers three distinct regions - the Front Range in the far east, Medicine Bow Country in the east and center, and the Red Desert in the center and west.  Click here for a photo montage of the region.

Front Range Adventures

Amidst the rolling hills of the front range's wheat country, you can step back in time and see history in the making.  At Pine Bluffs Archeological Site and in historic Cheyenne, you'll catch a glimpse of Wyoming life as it once was.  Looking up at the gorgeous Tiffany stained glass skylights in our State Capitol building, you'll appreciate the Wyoming citizen's desire to meld the best of civilization with a sturdy frontier spirit.

Red Desert Adventures

A giant thumb print in the great divide, the Red Desert region makes few concessions to humanity's needs.  For those willing to take it on its own terms, however, it offers the largest stretch of unfenced land in the lower 48 states, free ranging herds of wild horses and desert elk, and spectacular, almost alien beauty.  Overland, Oregon, and Mormon Trail landmarks remind us of the pioneers who dared to pit themselves against the rugged strength of this land with little more than raw courage and determination to pull them through.
