Bed & Breakfast Inns and Ranches of Wyoming

Who We Are

In 1987, individuals from several Wyoming bed and breakfast/ranch recreation establishments met with Susan Rottman and Dr. Jeff Powell, both with the University of Wyoming’s College of Agriculture.  The meeting focused on ways to promote tourism in an agricultural setting.  Wyoming Homestay and Outdoor Adventures (WHOA) grew out of their cooperative effort.  WHOA, now open to all bed and breakfast inns and ranches in Wyoming, has seen its membership and influence expand steadily since then.

What We Do

WHOA believes a professional organization is essential to promote quality accommodations for the traveling public and to give owners of bed and breakfast inns and ranches a unified voice in dealing with outside agencies that influence our business.   We are a non-profit organization that serves our membership by:

  Providing cooperative marketing efforts:

  • The 175 page website you are currently viewing with member links, activities, and events (these can be accessed through the links at the top of the page.)

  • Brochures distributed throughout Wyoming in Chambers of Commerce, visitor centers (Cheyenne, The Summit, Sundance, Evanston, Jackson, Sheridan, Pine Bluffs, Casper), libraries, selected retail outlets, and by WHOA members.

  • Trade show brochure distribution throughout the US in places like Kansas City; Los Angeles; Palm Beach; Harrisburg, PA; Minneapolis; Milwaukee; Denver; Salt Lake City; and Phoenix.

  • Direct mailings to over 300 AAA offices in the USA and Canada.

  • Brochure placement at the visitor's center in Rapid City.

  Providing discounted services to members:

  • Website design starting at $175 for a four page website with eight photographs.

  • Web hosting packages from $50 to $225 per year.
